The United Nations Global Mobility Program supports the mobility of the staff members of the UN system organizations, the World Bank Group and IOM (International Organization of Migration) through information and access to networks.

It means coming together to support the Global Mobility of staff and their families. The program is a successful example of inter-agency co-operation and co-ordination.

The Program has been supporting spouses and partners of International Professional UN system staff in aspects related to Global Mobility since the publication of the UNDG Joint Guidance Note on the Employment of Expatriate Spouses in July 2004.

The philosophy of UN Global Mobility Program is based on the understanding that relocating family networks is a significant consideration in Mobility, which in turn impacts upon the family unit as a whole and the attraction and retention of individual, internationally recruited staff.
